National Flag

Indias national flag is a horizontal tricolour of deep saffron (Kesri) at the top; White is in the middle and dark green at the bottom. In the center of the white at band is a navy wheel (Chakra). Its design is that of the wheel which appears on the abacus of the Sarnath Lion Capital of Ashoka. Its diameter approximates to the width of the white band and its 24 spokes.
The saffron color represents sacrifice – The colour of flames.
The white color represents Nobility.
The green color represents prosperity.
The wheel represents Dharma.
